manju dhall I have spent my years raising a family, teaching english to high school students for many years. apart from that I have a deep personal need to do independent things that interest me. human rights has been one such area. I am deeply touched by the gross inequalities, deprivation around me and the filth and squalor that people are forced to live in. and i regret the fact that even in a democracy people do not have a voice that can address these issues. self aggrandisement is the law of politicians and when i read the interview with Nidhi Prabha Tiwari i was greatly impressed by the tremendous work and idea that your organisation represents. I myself once prepared a paper on the right to privacy for a member of parliament. I agree with amartya sen when he recently drew the attention of the present government to the need to address the large scale inequity and deprivation in India. apart from that i am an avid reader and love playing bridge. and to mention here that I am an ex bureaucrats wife and do understand the system from within. I would be very interested in meeting with members of Democracy Connect .
